JOIN THE FRGS GRANT CLINICS 2023 – LIMITED SLOTS AVAILABLE!

Greetings from the Research Management Unit (RMU), Research Office, Faculty of Medicine, UM!

The Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) is expected to open in December 2023. We are pleased to announce that the RMU will be organising the FRGS Grant Clinics from October to November 2023. We have assembled a team of experienced FRGS reviewers as consultants, who will help carefully assess your proposal draft and offer constructive feedback to enhance it in preparation for the next FRGS application deadline. These clinics will be conducted in personalised, one-on-one sessions, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of all proposals. 

A total of fifteen (15) consultation slots are available, and participation is based on a first-come-first-serve basis. Details are as follows:

Complete the registration form with your details, select your preferred slot from the available options and upload your draft proposal.

During the grant clinic, a potential applicant may choose to consult regarding any (or all) of the following:

  • Project Suitability - based on FRGS criteria and elements
  • Project Formulation - how to improve on the project title, research questions, objectives and methodology
  • Project Planning - how to plan research activities, milestones and budget allocation and how to indicate good planning in the proposal
  • Project Enhancement - how to highlight the value, novelty and impact of the project
  • Overall Feedback - how to improve the quality of the proposal
  • Any other support/resource needed in applying for FRGS

The grant consultant will be assigned based on the nature of the proposal.

Please note that the registration will close once all 15 slots are filled, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to reserve your spot.
